Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Ahon Coffee House Taytay, a charming gem nestled in the heart of Taytay, Rizal. Located at 142 Magnolia Ln, this quaint coffee shop beckons you with its nostalgic ambiance and spacious layout, perfect for groups and intimate gatherings alike. The setting, a beautifully transformed vintage house, boasts cozy indoor seating and inviting outdoor spots, wrapped around a lush garden that brings nature close to your coffee experience.

From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in a warm vibe that feels both welcoming and familiar. The decor, featuring old sewing machines as table stands, not only adds a touch of character but also tells a story of craftsmanship and history. The large tree in the garden stands as a testament to the owners’ commitment to preserving the essence of the original space, previously known as 14Four Cafe.

Ahon Coffee House Taytay has garnered a mix of feedback from its patrons. Reviewers appreciate the excellent coffee, particularly praising the hazelnut latte and the unique orange americano, which offers a refreshing twist. However, some have noted that the food lacks the same standout quality, describing certain dishes, like the burger steak, as unseasoned and lacking character. One can’t help but feel a tinge of disappointment when a culinary choice falls flat, especially when the coffee shines so brightly.

Despite the mixed reviews on the menu, the overall atmosphere remains a highlight. The spacious layout often accommodates both casual meetups and larger gatherings (with spaces that can hold up to 20 people), making it a versatile choice for various occasions. Customers have noted that while the service might lag during peak times, the ambiance more than compensates for any delays, inviting you to relax and enjoy your surroundings.

It’s worth mentioning that the coffee shop also features a clean, well-maintained restroom, which is a rarity that many visitors appreciate. Ample parking space further enhances its accessibility, especially during the busy weekends when the café tends to draw a crowd.

At Ahon Coffee House Taytay, the true essence lies in the experience. Whether you’re lingering over a cup of coffee, diving deep into conversation with friends, or simply seeking a tranquil spot for reflection, this café offers a delightful blend of good coffee, charming decor, and a vibrant atmosphere. While improvements to the food menu would elevate the overall offering, the coffee remains a compelling reason to visit. So, if you're in Taytay, don't miss the chance to indulge in this cozy coffee sanctuary.

This place in Taytay is a great find. It has a comfortable, nostalgic atmosphere and is spacious enough to accommodate large groups. They also offer parking, which is a plus. We visited on a weekend night, so I understand why it was busy. The wait for our food was a bit long due to the high volume of orders, but that was to be expected. As for the food we ordered, it was decent, but nothing really stood out. The coffee, however, was excellent. We especially enjoyed the hazelnut latte. Overall, I’m happy to see a cafe like this in Taytay, and I’m looking forward to visiting again next time.

One of the best places to visit in Taytay, Rizal. The place feels very homey, with indoor, outdoor, and al fresco seating available on the second floor. I tried their burger steak with laksa gravy. Unfortunately, the patty was very thin, dry, and unseasoned to the point that it lacked flavor. The laksa gravy also didn’t taste like laksa, it leaned more toward a spicy cream-based gravy. the egg should also be seasoned for my preference. Their coffee was okay. The burnt caramel was a unique concept, but the coffee and caramel flavors didn’t really come through. The orange americano, on the other hand, was my favorite, refreshing with just the right caffeine kick. As a first-time visitor, I was unsure how the seating worked since no staff assisted us when we arrived, though it might have been because they were busy with other customers at the time. I also hope they improve the indoor acoustics since it can get quite noisy after a while.

I loved how they took over what used to be 14Four Cafe. I love that they didn’t take out the big tree in the garden. The interiors are cozy and spacious. I like how they made use of old sewing machines as table stands/legs. Coffee is also good. There’s a space that can be reserved and cordoned off for gatherings of 15-20pax. I’d definitely bring friends and family here.

Ahon Coffee House Taytay is definitely one of those cafés you visit not just for the coffee but for the ambience. It’s set inside a vintage house, which gives it a cozy and artsy vibe, perfect for long conversations, solo muni-muni sessions, or catching up with friends. We ordered their sandwiches with chips, some pastries, plus coffee and matcha. Food’s good, and you can tell it’s made with care, but prices are on the expensive side especially for the food items. Coffee and matcha are also a bit pricey considering they come in just one size. That said, I’m still happy to support their coffee (love local!). I just wish the food had more affordable options. The comfort room is a 10/10, very clean and may bidet, so that's already a win. Parking is not a problem either. They’ve got a spacious lot, and when we went, we were lucky to find seats right away. I imagine it can get full especially on weekends or sweldo days. Overall, a lovely spot for a date or quiet hangout. Great location, great vibes. Just bring a bit more budget if you’re planning to order food.
